My old Tarantulas model, in a little cave i made quicklie, the energon didnt come out quite as i wanted it.. im lacking a good make to make it "ellectric" like in the tv show, but for now it works.

Making the energon effect from the show is easy in 3DS Max.
It's a gradiant mapping in fractal mode, black / white / blue. I've used it in a few of my artwork in my gallery (the Spark and I think I'm also using it in a yellow colour on a piece representing a glowing blue woman).
